  Went to Dr. Lomonte many years ago... at the time, he crowned one of my back teeth. (That was the only major dental work he did for me.) Everything seemed fine at first, but soon after, I started noticing a bad odor/taste coming from the tooth whenever I flossed back there (gross I know). I brought it up to Dr Lomonte, and he and his staff acted like I was crazy and told me I wasn’t brushing or flossing properly. They even gave me one of those waterpik types of syringes and told me I need to use it to rinse that tooth regularly with mouthwash and water to make sure I’m getting any debris stuck back there. I did that, and it didn’t work. Well, they still wouldn’t listen to me... kept telling me I “just really need to clean well back there” (what, you want me to dig in there w a knife?!) so finally I stopped going to Dr Lomonte. In between that time and now, I had gone to two dentists who both did x-rays and said there was a small gap between the crown and tooth, meaning Dr Lomonte had put it on wrong or fit it incorrectly. Neither dentist really seemed concerned, though. I do, to an extent, blame them as well for showing lack of concern.
  
  After years of being told I’m crazy, I finally had to specifically request that my new dentist redo the crown. She took off the old crown, and not surprisingly, we saw that my tooth has been decaying under the failing crown for years due to Dr Lomonte’s poor placement. The tooth is so badly damaged I now need a root canal, and we even considered a complete extraction since there’s barely any tooth left. Dr Lomonte is a cool guy and his staff was friendly, but his dental skills are questionable, and what’s worse - he doesn’t listen to his patients’ concerns! Ultimately this poor dental work has cost me a LOT of time and money to repair, and it could’ve been avoided if I was just listened to. :( I see he has a lot of great reviews, and I don’t want to be the one to ruin the streak, but I can’t in good faith give this guy 5 stars.
  
  Mistakes happen - I get that - but problems arise when healthcare professionals refuse to accept that they might possibly be infallible.
